The BIOCON-CO2 Co2oling the Earth Summer School II: Focus on BIO-CCU has been postponed until September due to Corvid-19.
This event is a continuation of the Co2oling the Earth Training Events series of the European CCU research and user community, organised by the BIOCON-CO2 consortium and hosted by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). It is an open and multidisciplinary event inviting all CCUS stakeholders to share knowledge and learn from each other.
Topics that will be covered include:
CO2 separation and capture technologies
Chemical CO2 conversion
Research project knowledge sharing sessions
Enzymatic CO2 conversion
CO2 sequestration
CCS and CCU industrialisation prospects, challenges and possible synergies
Environmental and legislative aspects towards the circular economy
Genetic engineering for CO2 conversion applications
Process modelling and design issues
Fermentative CO2 conversion
Field trips / lab tours
The event will take place in Athens, Greece from 26 to 29 May 2020. The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) are hosting the event. NCSR Demokritos, CPERI/CERTH, and Greek Public Power Corporation S.A. are co-organising the event.

Participation is open to all researchers and professionals active in the field of CCU and CCS, from master students to industry professionals, and is free of charge subject to limited availability. Travel, subsistence and accommodation costs are not covered.
